ABOUT OUR VALUE GRADE COLLECTION
Our Value Grade U-Tip Hair Extensions are a classic hot-fusion method designed for professional installation and longer wear between maintenance appointments.
Each extension is applied to a small section of natural hair using a keratin bond that is gently melted and secured with a professional fusion tool. Once installed, U-Tips allow for natural 360-degree movement and can be styled much like your own hair.
Made from 100% Remy human hair, these extensions were originally produced to our Semi-Permanent quality standard.
At Superior Hair Extensions, we continuously improve our hair quality, manufacturing processes and product technology. As newer and upgraded stock is introduced, some previous-generation Semi-Permanent hair is moved into our Value Grade Collection and heavily discounted.
Our Value Grade U-Tips still offer professional-quality hair, but may have slightly more variation in texture, softness, density or longevity compared with our newest Premium U Tip Keratin Bond range.
U-Tips are available in a wide range of colours and can be mixed and matched to create a customised blend. They are not reusable, but can last up to three months with correct care and maintenance.
These extensions must be installed by a salon professional.

Always
- Use a sulphate-free shampoo.
- Use alcohol-free hair products.
- Use a extensions friendly brush.
- Avoid applying heat or styling tools to your roots and extension bonds.
- Loosely braid or gather your hair into a pony at bedtime.
- Use a heat protectant when styling your hair.
- Wait at least 24 hours after application before washing hair.

Make sure your hair fresh washed and no product on before applied.
Never
- Brush wet hair. This will pull out the extensions.
- Wash hair daily – use a dry shampoo if needed.
- Use conditioner near roots and bonds.
- Use coconut oil-based products on your extensions. Argan oil products are OK.
- Towel dry hair or pull at your extensions.
- Dye or treat hair in the 24 hours before application.
- Dye or treat hair in the 48 hours after application.
- Tie your hair up in the week following application. Your hair and your roots need time to adjust to their new style. Pulling and tugging may damage your hair and extensions.
- Don't bleach or lighten the extensions.
- Remember all hair extensions have already been through a chemical process, it is at your own risk if you decide to dye them as it may affect the quality of the hair.
- Don't use products containing alcohol as they can dry out the extensions and you don't want that happening!
- Don't use shampoo designed for volume or for dyed hair.
- Don't wear your extensions when swimming.

Our salon professionals are highly trained in the installation of Hot Fusion U-Tip extensions. However, it is possible that you hair could experience minor damage as a result of the removal process. This is not common, but it is important that you understand that there are some minor risks when installing semi-permanent solutions which use heat to secure them in place.
Tape-in and Nano-tip solutions are a great, non-heat reliant alternatives.
It is highly recommended that you have these extensions installed by a professional. You do run a risk of damaging your hair or the product itself if you attempt to install them yourself.

How many Hot Fusion U-Tip extensions do I need?
The number of packs you need depends on the volume effect you wish to achieve.
1 to 2 packs (25-50 strands), you can add some highlights or fill out shorter layers around your face.
4 to 6 packs (100-150 strands) will provide full head coverage for fine hair.
6 to 8 packs (150-200 strands) is ideal and will add length to medium to thick hair.
Our refund policy allows you to return products that you do not open, so we suggest buying a few more packs than you think you need - just in case. You can return the unused packs for a full refund of the purchase price.

Don’t wash your hair for at least 48-72 hours after installation. After this period, you are free to wash your hair as usual, but follow these tips.
✓ Never use products that contain parabens, sulphates, or alcohol.
✓ Only wash your hair 2-3 times per week - the less the better for the life of your extensions.
✓ Only condition the ends and mids of your hair.
✓ Wash your hair in one direction and try to avoid getting knots or snags in your extensions.
✓ After washing, wait for hair to become completely dry before brushing.
✓ Use a weekly deep conditioning treatment on your mids and ends.
How often can I style my hair extensions with hot tools?
How often can I style my hair extensions with hot tools?
Our hair extensions are made from Remy 100% human hair, so you can style them with hot tools as often as you would style your own hair. It is super important to always use a heat protector on both your extension and your natural hair to prevent damage.
Please note that these extensions are already curly. We do not recommend trying to straighten them. If you are interested in straight extensions that can be curled, check out our Classic clip-in hair extensions.

Yes! All our hair extensions are made from high-quality human hair - meaning that they can be dyed easily to match your natural hair perfectly. While you can dye the extensions, we recommend avoiding any chemical treatments as the hair has been processed and sterilised.
Try to choose a shade closest to your natural hair colour so there’s no need to dye it. If you do need to, opt for a semi-permanent colour or colour conditioner. We also suggest testing the dye on a few strands to ensure the final result is what you want. While you can use dye, we take no responsibility for any damage caused by dying your hair extensions. Refunds will not be offered for damage caused by colouring, dyeing, or using any chemical process voids any warranty.

Professional installations of Hot Fusion U-Tip extensions should last between 8 and 12 weeks before requiring re-installation given that you have properly cared for your extensions. This may vary due to your natural scalp production of sebum and hair growth rate.
You cannot re-use these extensions.

No, this must be done by a salon professional. You are able to learn how to install them using one of our Superior Hair training courses. However, it is still recommended that you do not install extensions on yourself, even if you are fully qualified.
Can I swim with Hot Fusion U-Tip extensions?
Can I swim with Hot Fusion U-Tip extensions?
Avoid putting your hair underneath the water when you have hair extensions. Ocean water salt and swimming pool chemicals causes tangles and takes moisture out of your hair.
If you do accidentally get your hair extensions wet while swimming, rinse your hair with fresh water as soon as possible, and apply a leave in conditioner or spray in condition to alleviate the impact.
